Bill Danning

This wacko was known as "The Loon From The Moon" when he worked at an oldies station in the high desert during the 1980's before moving on to Las Vegas oldies radio where he was still known under that handle. Bill Danning keeps up a sprinkling of novelties from his "Culture Corner" plus bring in the Doo-Wops with the other oldies. He also owns the "Oldiesloon" website. The Doo-Wop Tower show with Bill is now on hiatus from over the air broadcasts but can still be heard 24/7 on the net. Click here for show.

Froggy the Gremlin made a quick apprearance at KFXM during the Doo-Wop Tower show, where he plunked his magic twanger to briefly turn Danning into a human being.

His studio is in a a different location. This neat 130 year-old stone building called "The Phogbound". At fifteen floors it looks almost like an old castle complete with seven small turrets on top. It's been abandoned for years until recently when some psychiatric outfit called "The Institute of Insanity" rented it all except the towers. The Loon now has tower five. It's right near Lady Blimpo's Reducing Salon. She's in numbers one through four. She can no longer afford the rent for five towers. The rest of her stomach hangs over the side of the building. Used to be in #'s 8 thu 12 but those are now laying on the ground. Lady "B" was once described by her lover as every time he leaned over to kiss her it was like making love to rear end of a city bus. We heard he was a very slow runner. Obviously. Even a drunk three toed sloth can outrun her. He finally escaped by sliding under the door. One more thing, does anyone know where the Phogbound Building is? Address given is 2 Guephbaul Plaza. Near the river. Is that in Lancaster, Palmdale, or somewhere in the Twilight Zone....?

The first Phogbound Building on a rare clear day. It was three floors shorter than the current building. This one was leveled by a mysterious explosion one night. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths. Lady Blimpo, the only person inside at the time, working on her baked bean diet, was miraculously thrown clear of the collapsing structure.

Old Phogbound after blast. An even older, almost exact looking building nearby, closer to the river, known as the Phineas Trust Building, was renamed "The Phogbound". It's where all is now. No photo available yet due to poor visibility conditions there.
