MEET TOMMY VANCE
When Sam Riddle announced his plans to devote more time to television
several months ago KHJ launched a world-wide search for a replacement for
Smilin' Sam.  And now you hear our Boss Choice every night from nine 'til
midnight.  He's Tommy Vance, 22-year-old native of London.  Tommy's
entertainment career began in Oxford, England at the age of four!  Our
newest Boss Jock made his debut in a play called "Jack In The Beanstalk."
His grandfather was a pioneer U.K. movie director, and his grandmother
owned a travelling reperatory company.  Tommy's parents were also show biz
pros.  From nursery rhymes our boy graduated to BBC productions and on to a
post-school hitch in Her Majesty's Navy.  Following his service, Tommy
attended college in Northern Ireland: student by day, actor and folk music
fanatic by night.

Then America.  Overnight success in Seattle, where early this year Vance
became America's first British deejay...and, after digging his sound, we
think you'll be happy he did!  Pick up on Tommy Vance, tonight on...
